Psalm 8

To the Chief Musician. On the instrument of Gath.

A  Psalm of David.

O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth,
Who have set Your glory above the heavens!

Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have ordained strength;
Because of Your enemies,
That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the starts, which You have ordained,
What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?

For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

You have made him to have dominion over the works
of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
All sheep and oxen–even the beasts of the field.
And the birds of the air,
And the fish of the sea
That pass through the paths of the seas.

O LORD, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth!

Thank You Lord that You have made all things for Your glory.

Enjoy making Mexican Ice Cream Sundae

If you haven’t yet, try it you and your family will like it.

1 quart of your favorite vanilla ice cream
1 cup sliced almonds, crushed walnuts or peanuts
Place almonds, crushed walnuts or peanuts in small saucepan with sugar. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar is melted and coated with the nuts. This will take a while but don’t try to speed it up. When all are coated, place on plate and let cool. Set aside.

2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Chocolate Syrup

In mixer bowl with electric mixer add heavy cream, sugar and cinnamon. Blend at med-high speed until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
Scoop ice cream into a dish, add a scoop of whipped cream and sprinkle with almonds, walnuts, or peanuts.

For chocolate lovers, pour a generous amount of chocolate syrup in a bowl and heat up in the microwave oven for 20 to 30 seconds. Add on to ice cream. Enjoy! It’s definitely worth the calories.
