Hope you had a nice Christmas! Now, as we welcome in 2016 we like to focus on our new goals for the year. Among the many things we will be planning let’s take time to stop and smell the roses, as they say. Let us pray more, smile and laugh more, be a better listener in general, demonstrate the love of Jesus with those around us, and be more grateful for all His blessings.
For our heart’s health, let’s continue to exercise several times a week, and eat healthier meals that will help us to maintain our weight and stay in good health. If you don’t like eating a large salad, try to include at least a small side salad and fruit in your daily menu. Drink more water and go to bed earlier for a good night’s sleep to help you be ready to get up and go in the morning. We need to take care of ourselves as God created us in His image and in His likeness. (Genesis 1:27). “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. This verse is an encouraging reminder that God does care about us, our bodies, our emotions, and our soul.
Heavenly Father, thank You for creating us in Your image and in Your likeness. Thank You that You care about us, our bodies, our emotions, and our soul. Help us be able to take good care of our bodies, nurture our minds and our souls. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
“Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.” Isaiah 1:18
