Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD from the heavens!
Praise him, all his angels!
Praise him, all the armies of heaven!
Praise him, sun and moon!
Praise him, all you twinkling stars!
Praise him, skies above!
Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!
Let every created thing give praise to the LORD,
for he issued his command, and they came into being.
He set them in place forever and ever.
His decree will never be revoked.

Psalm 148:1-6 (NLT)

He will judge everyone according to what they have done. He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness. There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil – for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good – for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.
Romans 2:6-11 (NLT)

And this is the message I, (Paul), proclaim – that the day is coming when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. Romans 2:16

Prayer: O LORD, have mercy on us, Your children. Bless and heal our country and forgive our sins as a nation. Bring to Yourself those whom You have already appointed before the creation of the world. Jesus, You do not want us to judge but to love in Your name and point others to You and Your kingdom. Thank You that You are the Judge and You are in control of everything that happens in our world, and You will glorify Your name in all things. Help us do good and seek Your good and perfect will in our lives according to Your promises and purposes. We thank You and praise You that You are in control of all things in our world today and forever. Teach us and guide us by Your mighty Holy Spirit. In the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.
