On the aluminum cap at the top of the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. are these words: Laus Deo in Latin it means, Praise be to God!
The letters are 5.125 high. The Washington Monument is 55 ft wide and 555 feet tall overlooking 69 square miles that makes up the District of Columbia, the capital of the United Sates of America.

Cherry trees were a gift from Japan. A national treasure in Washington since 1912 when the first cherry tree was planted around the Tidal Basin.
The breathtaking beauty of the cherry blossoms is brief, it lasts less than two weeks in total and at their peak for only a few days. It’s a must see!
Lord, Thank You for creating such exquisite flowers that bloom each year in mid March to early April in Washington D.C. and in Japan.
