The Last Supper.
When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.” Luke 22:14
And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, by Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.” Luke 22:41-44
The King on the Cross
Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Having said this, He breathed His last. Luke 23:44-46.
Father, Thank You for sending Jesus to die for our sins at the cross and making payment for our sins by His blood, the precious blood of the Lamb of God. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the grave on the third day. Jesus is alive!
