The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, La Tour Eiffel (French)
Standing at 1,063 feet high from the third level of the Eiffel Tower I softly sang, Our God is an Awesome God! Praise Him who lives forever!
The Eiffel Tower is an iron lattice tower located at the Champ de Mars (a large public green space in Paris). Named after Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower erected in 1889 for the entrance arch to the 1889 World’s Fair. It has become both a global cultural icon in France and one of the most recognizable structures of the world. Over 6.8 million visitors and tourists come each year. It is thought that over a quarter of a billion people in the world have visited the Eiffel Tower since its existence.
After a week’s visit to Lille, I spent only one day in Paris. By the time my sister-in-law, Pamela, and I reached The Louvre museum they were closing down as it was now sundown. We needed to get back to our hotel as we were leaving first thing in the morning to fly back home to Miami. Since we were rushing to get back to our hotel I was unable to view the Eiffel Tower at nighttime. I pray God will allow me to see it again someday in the daytime and evening. It must be very beautiful at nighttime…
Our God is an awesome God!
